SURRENDER TO GOD

The word “Islam” means submission to God, and an adherent of Islam is called a moslem (muslim). The word “Islam” is a verbal noun originating from the trilateral roots “s – l – m”, and is derived from the Arabic verb “aslama”, which means “to give up, to desert, to surrender to God. Another word derived from the same root is “salaam”, which means “peace”.

Islam is the monotheistic religion articulated by The Holy Qur’an and The Sunnah (Hadith). The Holy Qur’an is a text considered by its adherents to be the verbatim word of God (Allah), and The Sunnah is normative example by teachings of Muhammad, and Muhammad is the last prophet in (to) the world.

Moslems demonstrate submission to God by worshipping God, following God commands, and avoiding polytheism. Moslem identify the prophets as those human chosen by God to be God Messengers.

In Islam, the normative example of Muhammad’s life is called The Sunnah (literally trodden path). This example is preserved in traditions known as Hadith (report), which recount his words, his actions, and his personal characteristics. The Sunnah is seen as crucial to guiding interpretation of The Holy Qur’an.

The prophets chosen by God to bring the will of God to the peoples of the nations. Moslems believe that prophets are human and not divine, though some are able to perform miracles to prove their claim.

Islamic theology says that all of God’s Messengers preached the message of Islam. Moslems believe that God finally sent Muhammad to convey the divine message to the whole world.

Allah is the term with no plural or gender used by moslems to refer to the one God. Islam concept is a rigorous monotheism, called “tauhid”. God is described in chapter 112 of The Holy Qur’an as: “Say, God, is the One and Only; God, The Eternal, absolute. God beget not, nor is God begotten. And there is none like unto God” (The Holy Qur’an, 112:1-4).

Moslems believe that: First, God is one and incomparable. Second, Islam is the complete and universal version of a primordial faith that was revealed at many times and places before.

Moslems maintain that previous messages and revelations have been partially changed and corrupted overtime, but consider The Holy Qur’an to be both unaltered and the final revelation from God.

Religious concepts and practices include the five pillars of Islam, which are basic concepts and obligatory acts of worship, and following Islamic law, which touches on virtually every aspect of life and society, encompassing everything from banking and welfare, to warfare and the environment.

THE PRIMARY RELIGIOUS

Law is the primary religious science in Islam. Once committed to Islam, the believer’s overriding concern and question is “What do I do? what is God’s will?"

Law is essentially religious, the concrete expression of God’s guidance (Shariah, path or law) for humanity. Throughout history, Islamic law has remained central to moslem identity and practice, for it constitutes the ideal social blueprint for the good society.

The Shariah has been a source of law and moral guidance, the basis for both law and ethics. Despite vast cultural differences, Islamic law has provided an underlying sense of identity, or a common code of behavior for moslem societies.

As a result, the role of Islamic law in Muslim society has been and continues to be central issue for the community of believers. For the moslem community, following the Shariah of God meant obedience to God’s continuing revelation and to His Prophet.

Issues of worship, family relations, criminal justice, and warfare could be referred to The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) for guidance and adjudication. Both Quranic teaching and Prophetic example guided and governed the early Islamic state.

RELIGIOUS RESPONSIBILITIES

Western classical economics is based on the idea of unlimited needs of individuals who face limited resources. The classical homo economicus is a rational and calculating person who seeks to maximize his happiness (utility). Individuals search for happiness is represented by an emotionless cost - benefit analysis of their decisions. More importantly, happiness is usually measured by meterial means.

Many cases were give many evidence that "material means" (natural resources) had turned the world into a lawless, and unjust, and had destruction moslems region, and killing of several hundred thousand moslems people. Look at this evidence:

First
, continously devastating condition of Palestinians, who have robbered their land by Israel (the tyrant, unjust, and ilegal authorizing) since 1948.

Second
, USA and NATO invation on Afghanistan (since 2002 until now) and Iraq (since 2003 until now), and create "puppet government" in Afghanistan an Iraq, had destruction moslems village and killings of several hundred thousand moslems people of Afghanistan and Iraq.

Third
, evil treatment of prisoners by USA Military in Abu Ghraib in Iraq (2004), and Guantanamo in Cuba region (since 2003 until now) are some of the major factors which have turned the world into a lawless, and unjust.

Thought, attitude, action, and behavior of USA, Israel, and NATO government to destruction moslems region, and killing several hundred thousand moslems people of the world, have described about their religion quality.

For this, God (Allah) punish their with economic collapse in 2008. The Holy Qur'an is explicit in this regard as God (Allah) has stated, "Truly, the religion on the sight of Allah is Islam" (Qur'an 3:19).

In another verse of The Holy Qur'an, God (Allah) has stated, "And whosoever desire a religion other that Islam, never will it accepted of him/her, and in the hereafter he/she will be in the ranks of those who are lost" (Qur'an 3:85).

God (Allah) has stated in The Holy Qur'an, "And to thee. We have sent The Book (The Holy Qur'an) in truth. This Qur'an confirming the scripture that came before it, and a witness over it" (Qur'an 5:48).

Islamic economics, unlike its Western counterpart, is a value driven discipline replete with moral values that limits individual's consumption, and imposes significant social and religious responsibilities on individuals as guardian of the natural environment for future generations.

Islamic economics is a value driven discipline. Individual moslem's choices are subordinate to the collective interests of a larger Islamic community. Accordingly, the collectivist social and religious norms of Islam guide the economic behavior of individual moslems. Hence, homo Islamicus, unlike its counterpart homo economicus, must be a paragon of values.

Islamic economics begins with the abundance of resources and assumes the limited needs of individuals. Accordingly, the problem of scarcity in classical economics is due to unnatural assumption of unlimited needs created by artificial means such as advertising.

Islam imposes legal and moral restrictions on totality of human behavior, including individual's needs. Islam as a comprehensive way of life, embraces the totality of moslem's conducts, including their economic transactions. Individual moslem's freedom is always bounded by his/her social and religious responsibilities.

Moslems are free, but they a responsible to God (Allah) and other moslems for their actions. As a result, freedom and responsibility are the two sides of one coin in Islam. Social and religious responsibilities are the constraints imposed on moslems behavior, including their economic behavior.

Islamic norms of behavior such as justice (Qur'an 5:8), moderation (Qur'an 17:29), charity (Qur'an 57:7), and waste avoidance (Qur'an 7:31) are the restriction that are meant to change the innate selfish nature of man to altruistic and compassionate economic behavior.

Hence, homo Islamicus, unlike its counterpart homo economicus, must be a paragon of values.

Who is moslems people? They are the man and womens who pray five times each day. They attend their mosques or places of worship each week (on friday). They fast during Ramadhan and try to perform a pilgrimage to the Ka'bah in Mecca (Saudi Arabia) at least once in their lives.

As moslems, they have a book called "The Holy Qur'an". This book is the word of God (Allah). The Holy Qur'an lays down, "Whoseover kills a human being without any reason like man slaughter, or corruption on earth. It is as though he had killed all mankind" (Qur'an 5:32).

Although Islam is regarded as the youngest of all revealed religions, it is not a new religions, but continuation of the first religion of God (Allah) to man, purged, and purified, time after time, from all human adulterations, and restored to its original purity.

Thus all prophet from Adam to Muhammad (peace be upon them) came to preach the same religion, which continued to grow and grow until it reached perfection at the hand of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

RELIGIOUS MIND SET

Moslems were going through some very difficult time, when West relations with moslem have polarized. Continuously devastating conditions of Palestinians, who had robbed his land by Israel Government (a robber of Palestinians land); and West (USA and Europe Government) who supporting Israel Government to robbed Palestinians land, had make this polarize relation. God (Allah) said that West very hate a moslem (look Qur'an 2:120).
This polarize relation make the world in lawless and unjust. Million moslems had killed by West in Palestine, Iraq, and Afghanistan. To build of truth, moslems hope God protect moslems in the world, and give religious mind set for West.
Religious mind set hold that there is only One God, and claim that the One God is worshiped in religion under one name, that is Islam. Approximately 20 % of the world population identifies with Islam, and 32 % Christian, 1 % Judaism, 6 % Budhism, 13 % Hinduism, 6 % traditional Chinese religion, 7 % various other religion, and 15 % atheist.
The holy book of Islam (The Holy Qur'an) asserts the existence of a single and absolute God, that transcends the world, a unique and independent of the creation. Similarly The Holy Qur'an rejects the modes of thinking, such as: duality god (god and evil), trinity god (father god, son god, and holy spirit), and poly god (god and friends).
Islam is a monotheistic religion based on the teaching contained in The Holy Qur'an, and include many religious practices. As such, the religion of Islam teaches that in order to achieve true peace of mind surety of heart, one must submit to God and live according to God divinely revealed law.
God said, "Say, God the only one, God the indivisible, God gives not birth, nor is God begotten, and God is in God self, not dependent or anything" (Qur'an 114:1-4). According to this view, the fundamental message of all of the prophet is, "There is no god worthy of more of worship but God." The truth is absolute and one, and is not relative to each induvidual and society. The only one who has the right to legislate right and wrong is the one who created the universe, that is God.
